Kayla began her education career as a TFA Corps Member in 2015 teaching Kindergarten Humanities at Rocketship Discovery Prep. After three successful years as teaching, Kayla was promoted to be an Assistant Principal at Rocketship Discovery Prep.  After two years as an Assistant Principal, Kayla has been promoted to become the Principal for the 20-21 school year at Rocketship Discovery Prep. Kayla is excited to continue to serve the RDP community, support teachers, and work to close the achievement gap through great academic gains.  Kayla is committed to advocating for all Rocketeers and leading Rocketship Discovery Prep to new levels of achievement.  Kayla holds a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Communications from Sacramento State University and Master’s of Science Degree in Education: Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
