Kamilah Williams-Kemp, Vice President, New Business

Kamilah Williams-Kemp is vice president of the New Business department of Northwestern Mutual, responsible for the underwriting and issuance of the company’s life insurance, disability income, long term care and annuity products.

Since joining Northwestern Mutual in 1999, Kamilah has held various leadership roles spanning across the enterprise including HR, operations, insurance products, and distribution. She was appointed an executive officer effective February 1, 2015 and has served as President & CEO of the Northwestern Long Term Care Company. Kamilah earned a B.S. degree from Northwestern University and an MBA with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

She has been recognized as an influential business leader in various publications, including Black Enterprise and Savoy magazines. Kamilah is a member of the global Executive Leadership Council and enjoys mentoring others to help them reach their full potential. She serves on the African American Leadership Alliance of Milwaukee board and the local board for Rocketship, a national network of non-profit charter schools focused on eliminating the achievement gap for K-5th grades in underserved neighborhoods. She is married to Jason Kemp and they have two sons, Jason and Cameron.
