Jordan Blanton is currently serving over 500 Rocketeers as the Principal of Rocketship Southside Community Prep in Milwaukee, WI. She is passionate about helping students discover their passion for learning and helping struggling readers develop the skills and habits needed to achieve academic success. Jordan began her career in education as a kindergarten teacher, serving students in Oakland, CA and at Rocketship Mateo Sheedy in San Jose, CA. She then joined the founding team of Rocketship Fuerza Community Prep as a third grade teacher and rose to assistant principal.

Mrs. Blanton’s heart will always be in the classroom and she can often be found practicing sight words, digging into word problems, and discussing valuable life lessons found in the Harry Potter series. Mrs. Blanton earned a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from San Jose State University and holds a Literacy Specialist Credential. Prior to her work in education, Ms. Blanton studied Religious Studies and Ethics at California State University, Chico. She is honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead such a committed group of educators, who are leading students to exceed their goals and transform their community.
