Since Rocketship DC’s genesis in 2016, Jeanice Stewart has been an integral part of our journey. Bringing a decade of classroom teaching experience, Jeanice started as a founding kindergarten teacher at Rocketship Rise Academy. Her leadership led her to helm the kindergarten team at Rise for two years. In 2018, she joined the leadership team at Rocketship Legacy Prep as an Assistant Principal, rising to the role of Principal in the 2020-2021 school year. Jeanice is fervently committed to cultivating a school community that nurtures fearless, passionate learners, who are relentless in their pursuit of academic success. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Christopher Newport University, a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Trinity University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in School Leadership from Regent University. Jeanice’s journey embodies a powerful testament to lifelong learning and leadership.
